Guitarist Zach Myers was born in 1983 in Memphis, Tennessee. Zach is currently the lead guitarist for Shinedown but started off as a touring rhythm guitarist in 2005,before becoming their temporary bassist after the departure of Brad Stewart in 2007. In 2008 Nick Perri also departed Shinedown, leaving Zach to assume the role of the band’s rhythm and lead guitarist. Zach is also responsible for founding The Fairwell, a rock band from Memphis,Tennessee. He is the lead vocalist and lead guitarist for The Fairwell while still finding time to play the lead guitar for Shinedown.
Artist that have inspired Zach’s music are Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Adam Duritz, Bono, Phil Lyonett and Damon Jonhson. He hopes to someday get the chance to work with artist Bono and Adam Duritz. Zach Started playing the guitar at a young age with a series 10 strat, but now claims to be a collector of vintage musical equipment. He currently owns over one hundred and twenty guitars of various makes.
