Atlas Speaker Charcoal Cotton Canvas Throw Pillow with Feather-Down Insert 18"x18"

Regular price $70.00

Description
The Atlas Speaker Throw Pillow is an 18" x 18" charcoal cotton canvas pillow, handmade in Chicago in the FRET12 Studio. The graphic, designed by Daniel Tremonti, borrows from the classic image of Atlas holding up the world. Here it’s our String Thing, a creature wrapped in discarded guitar strings, carrying a speaker on its back. It’s the same design as our tee, printed on a 7.7 oz canvas cover and filled with a feather-down insert, made for the couch, the studio, or the corner where the amps live.

THE COVER
Canvas is a plain, tight weave, the same cloth used for chore coats, tool bags and gig bags. This one starts crisp, with a dry, matte surface, and softens the more it gets used.

  • 7.7 oz, 100% cotton charcoal canvas
  • Cut and sewn by hand in our Chicago studio
  • Screen printed in Chicago with a soft-hand print that feels like part of the fabric, not a thick plastisol layer
  • Overlapping flap closure with two buttons, so the insert slides out easily

THE INSERT
A feather-down insert gives when you lean back and comes back with a shake. That's the slouch a good couch pillow should have.

  • 95% white duck feather, 5% white duck down
  • Down-proof 100% cotton shell keeps quills from poking through
  • Machine washable

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Take the cover off before washing and wash the cover and insert separately.

Cover Care:

  • Turn inside out and fasten the buttons before washing
  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors
  • Hang dry or tumble dry on low
  • Don't iron directly on the print
  • Expect a little softening and minor shrinkage over the first few washes

Insert Care:

  • Machine wash on a gentle cycle with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent
  • Use a front-loading washer, or a top-loader without a center agitator
  • Run an extra rinse to clear out any soap
  • Tumble dry on low with two or three dryer balls to break up clumps
  • Make sure it's completely dry before it goes back in the cover, since leftover moisture can cause odor or mildew
  • Fluff it by hand between uses to keep its shape
